From the moment he was born, Darley was indoctrinated by his mother that 'he was the reincarnation of his dead brother (who died in the womb of his mother after 4 months)'. So when he learned about Freud's theory of dream interpretation, he became fascinated by Freud's claim that dreams are the key to uncovering subconscious thoughts.
